What Makes WSJwine Unique?

The WSJwine Club comes in two tiers: the Discovery Club and the Premier Club. The difference is mainly in price and quality: the Discovery Club is more affordable, but the selection of wines isn’t quite as fine as those of the Premier Club.

Read below to learn about the wine selection and affordability of the two Club tiers:

    • Discovery Club - Wine Quality: When a WSJwine Discovery member receives a shipment, they gain access to WSJwines’ Top 12 wines of the season. Whether members receive all reds, all whites, or a mix of the two, they’re drinking some of WSJwines’ most-valued wines. All of the wines in the Top 12 are either award winners or highly rated online by thousands of wine drinkers.
    • Discovery Club - Affordability: In addition to receiving the Top 12 wines, Discovery members receive two bonus bottles of a Jean-Charles Boisset California Cabernet and a pair of Dartington Crystal stemless glasses. The complete package is valued at $263.96, but members only pay $69.99 before shipping and handling.
    • Premier Club - Wine Selection: Premier Club members get the best of the best. Bottles include rare varieties such as a 95-point, triple-gold Saint-Émilion, and a barrel-aged Amarone.
    • Premier Club - Affordability: In addition to the 12 rare bottles, WSJwine Premier Club members receive a trio of Malbec Gran Reservas from Argentina’s Hervé Fabre. The complete package is valued at $524.97, but members only pay $259.99 before shipping and handling.

All soon-to-be members can view the wine list for an upcoming shipment before signing up, making the entire experience very transparent.

Members of both the Discover and Premier wine Clubs gain access to VIP features, just for being members of the Club. Members get 20% off on future shipments, can access rewards like 1.50liter magnum bottles, and can snag extra deals and promos throughout the year.

Both the Discovery and Premier Clubs require no obligations, so members can skip a shipment or cancel anytime. Every wine included in the box is backed by a 100% money-back guarantee: if members don’t love the wine, they get a full refund.

Price per Bottle

Discovery Club members pay $69.99 per shipment before shipping and Premier Club members pay $259.99 per shipment before shipping.

Wine Selection Process

WSJwine Club members receive supplemental tasting notes for every wine they purchase. This handout includes information like how the wine was made, possible food pairings, and how to best store the wine.

It is nice that new members can view the wine selections for an upcoming shipment before signing up. To view the upcoming selection, Discovery members can click here and Premium members can click here.

Opening the Box

That heavy box that just arrived, bring it inside! Your 12+ wines are here.

When you first open the WSJwine Club box, you’ll first notice how heavy it is. The weight is for the right reasons: your box includes 12 or more wine bottles, plus a molded insert to keep each bottle safe during the shipping process.

After opening the box, you’ll find informational cards for each of your twelve wines. The cards include every wine fan’s favorite stats, such as pairing suggestions, tasting notes, and winemaker facts.

Below the cards, you’ll find the molded insert. This protects the wine during shipping and handling: feel free to remove this. Right below the insert, you’ll find your wines!

Happy uncorking!
